In 1995 God led Greg Beckenham into a ministry of teaching, healing and deliverance.
Though Greg had already been ministering as the Pastor of Haberfield Baptist Church for more than 11 years, the congregation were eager to support him as he developed this area of ministry.
In January 2007 Greg was released to concentrate all his time on the the HBC Prayer and Healing Ministry as Pastor for Prayer Ministry at Haberfield Baptist Church.
Many of us carry things from our past which may dominate us emotionally, physically and spiritually, cause us to suffer stress or to feel like we have no worth and no hope. This gentle ministry has assisted many people to be free of the physical, emotional and spiritual problems that have prevented them from knowing their true worth and living in the full freedom of Christ.
We have seen many people healed and delivered since we began this ministry over 20 years ago. It is a safe, Biblical and practical method of confronting opposing spiritual forces.
Recently our name has changed to Dare to Believe Ministries in recognition of our broader mandate not only to pray for healing and deliverance but to encourage believers everywhere to dare to believe that as children of God they too have a mandate to pray for the very same things with those they encounter.
In October 2013 Greg and Elizabeth ministered for the last time on Wednesdays from Haberfield Baptist Church. They continue to pray with people each Wednesday and Thursday at Kariong Baptist Church but no longer make the trek from their home up north to Sydney each week.
The ministry team runs conferences and workshops both within Australia and internationally to teach and equip other churches to establish similar ministries.
